Our History
Kemp Quarries has been in business over 50 years. It was founded in 1967 by W. L. “Bill” Kemp, Jr. along with his late father, W. L. “Les” Kemp, Sr. as Pryor Stone Inc. In 1980 Bill’s son, James joined the business and it continued to grow adding 3 more companies. James and daughter-in-law, Melinda purchased the businesses in 2009, and now serve as President and CFO respectively. The company has continue to expand with 17 sites currently. Kemp Quarries Inc has been, and still is, a locally owned, family ran business, that will address your needs .
Our Journey
Over the years, Kemp Quarries is proud to have been involved in many of the larger projects across the region. Our products have been a key element in the development of many of the areas we serve including projects within the Mid America Industrial Park, the Oklahoma Turnpike System, International and Regional Airports, State / Local Highways, Power Plants, Schools and Universities, Hospitals as well as multiple other projects. Through the past 50 plus years, this type of success has allowed us the opportunity to expand from the original operation in Pryor to thirteen locations across three states!
